King's Cuba

12 CHURCHES IN CUBA

Summer 2024

Pastor Jacinto Jimenez was waiting for Min. Jose Enrique Ortega (Tenerife, Spain) and I at the airport in Santa Clara, Cuba.  He is a man of prayer, very gentle, and loves his people. He and his wife, Dailin, pastor a congregation in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba.  After a three-hour drive, we arrived to his church where the other pastors were waiting for us.

The heat was unbearable and soon we were surrounded by mosquitoes. Two pastors ended up sick with Dengue because of the mosquitoes. There was no air conditioning or fans. They have less than 8 hours of electricity a day and no one knows when the electricity is going to be available.

We spent five days together praying, sharing testimonies, and training the leaders.

The Christians here are under constant pressure and persecution from the communist government. Jacinto was jailed several times and tortured for having a church, but no one could take away his love and dedication to the Lord.

Here in Cuba, a high school teacher makes $10 a month and a doctor makes about $30.  There are no supermarkets or stores available to purchase common needs like soap, shampoo and deodorant.  Even bread is hard to find.  If you have child under 7 years old, you can buy milk, otherwise, you cannot.

Please keep these 12 pastors and their families in your prayers.

July 2024

In July 2024, King's Cuba had their first baptisms. In CIEGO DE AVILA, CUBA, Antonio Pino, pastor of King's Chapel, baptized 12 new members. Despite persecution and poverty, the churches in Cuba are growing.

Please pray for the church in Cuba!

August 2024

We regret to inform our King's family that Pastor JACINTO JIMENEZ, pastor of the church in SANCTI SPIRITUS, Cuba, went to be with the Lord.  During his pastorate he suffered much persecution, including months in jail and torture for preaching the Love of God.  In spite of the suffering, he remained faithful and kept on preaching. He was a gentle man; soft spoken but wise.  He was seen as a father by many pastors. Please pray for his wife, Pastor DAILIN and their congregation.
